You and your little ones will have fun making this cute little bird nest craft. It’s also a great opportunity to teach your kids about the life cycle of birds, eggs, nests, and migration.
Materials:
- Sticks
- Spanish moss
- Tissue paper
- Feathers
- Brown paint
- Paintbrush
- Glue
- Paper plate
- Puff ball
- Orange craft paper
- Googly eyes
Directions:
1. Cut the paper plate in half. Cut the center out of one of the sides like a “C” shape. Paint the pieces brown and set aside.
2. Have the child glue pieces of tissue paper, feathers, and sticks to the flat portion of the half piece (not the “C”) and have them glue moss on the backside (rounded side) of the “C” piece.
3. Cut a beak from orange paper and glue both the beak and googly eyes onto the puff ball.
4. Glue the puff ball bird onto the piece with tissue paper and feathers.
5. Glue the “C” shaped piece onto the other piece of paper, right below the feathers, tissue paper, and bird.
6. Enjoy!
