Going on a winter nature hike? Collect some items on your walk to create your very own nature ice sculpture!

Materials:

• Empty yogurt tubs (or other small plastic container)
• Water
• Twigs, berries, pine cones, etc. (anything you can find outside!)

Directions:

• Go on a winter hike and collect various items from nature. Take some time to examine each item. Where does it come from? What are the different textures?
• Using recycled plastic containers as a mold, layer the items you found.
• Fill them with water once the containers are filled with leaves, twigs, etc.
• Place the containers outside to freeze (time will depend on how cold the winter day is!)
• Once your sculptures are frozen, they should slide out of the container easily.
• Find a good place to display your pretty outdoor decorations!
