Looking for an easy, affordable way to grow native plants from seed? Then winter sowing is for you! This technique uses recycled containers and natural light, warmth and moisture to germinate seeds outdoors. You will be taken through the entire winter sowing process and leave with five “sown” containers. Participants bring their own containers; all other materials provided. Containers should be clean, clear or translucent, and at least 3 inches deep. Gallon milk/water jugs and salad or greens containers work well.
