Workshop for Middle & High School Educators

Hear from DNR experts and get hands-on field experience in this summer workshop from LEAF. We will learn more about how deer interact with forests, see how scientists collect and analyze data related to forest regeneration, explore how deer exclosures can be used as a study tool in school forests, and practice using LEAF and Project Learning Tree lessons that connect these concepts to the classroom. The workshop will focus more on middle and high school-level learning, but all educators are invited to join. Participants will receive LEAF lessons and a copy of Project Learning Tree’s “Focus on Forests” activity guide. The cost is $50.
