Learn how wet felt an elegant, ruffled cowl in this beginner-friendly class. We’ll first learn some wet felting basics such as what tools to use and what type of wool works best. From there, we’ll dive right into making your cowl starting with layout, wetting down, felting, shaping and fulling.

The instructor will guide you through each step and, at the end of the class, you’ll have a beautiful cowl to take home PLUS the knowledge and confidence to make one on your own!

The class fee includes Merino Top Wool (with many different colors for you to choose from); decorative button (or you can bring one of your own); step-by-step instructions with photos; list of resources/suppliers; felting tools (solar pool covering, pool noodle, palm washboard, bubble wrap); and soap. You’ll be provided with enough wool to make one cowl in class and one cowl at home.

BONUS! You’ll also learn how to make a super-easy and super-cute wet felted flower. You can use the flower to embellish your cowl, make a broach or just use it as a decoration.

Please bring a couple of handtowels and wear clothing that you don’t mind getting a little wet. The felting process does require a little bit of physical effort and you’ll be on your feet for a portion of the class, so please wear comfortable shoes.
