Waubesa Lakeshore Cleanup Event

The Lake Waubesa Conservation Association, in partnership with the Friends of Capital Springs Recreation Area, Dane County Parks, Dane County Land & Water Resources, and the Village of McFarland invite you to Take a Stake in the Lakes! Volunteers will remove trash along the Lower Yahara River Trail boardwalk and the Lake Waubesa shoreline at William G. Lunney Lake Farm County Park.
Thursday, May 5, 2022 from 5 – 7pm

A few items to consider:
Volunteers under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a supervising adult.
Volunteers must be comfortable walking on uneven and wet surfaces such as marsh and rocks, and must wear sturdy boots or shoes that may get wet and muddy.
The cleanup area is about a half-mile walk from the parking area at shelter #3.
Trash collection via canoe/kayak is welcome. See signup or contact Clare for more information.
This is a rain or shine event, but we will cancel via email due to dangerous weather conditions.
