June 13, 2015 @ 9:30 AM - 11:30 AM
Learn how vision works for butterflies, moths, and bees in their prairie environment. Experts from the UW–Madison McPherson Eye Research Institute will discuss complex and simple eyes in insects and explain how insects are used as a model for studying the human eye and eye diseases. Hear from “Bug Guy” PJ Liesch, check out a Butterfly Birthing Station and other displays. Light refreshments and a prairie walk will follow. Preregistration preferred, opens May 15.
