Participants in this workshop will receive professional development in Project Learning Tree’s new Treemendous Science online curriculum for K-2nd grade. This unit is an invitation to increase your K-2 learners’ contact with nature and trees. Students explore and collect tree data to develop understandings about how trees grow, the roles trees play in ecosystems, and the ways in which trees and humans interact. Treemendous Science is constructed around the Next Generation Science Standards, aligned with Common Core and the C3 Framework, and organized in a 5E instructional model.
