Together in Beloit: Dealing with Climate Change Globally to Locally

FreeJoin Senior Scientist Steve Vavrus from the Nelson Institute Center for Climatic Research at UW-Madison. His talk, titled “Together in Beloit: Dealing with Climate Change Globally to Locally,” will begin by reviewing the history of human-induced climate change, then offering examples of its manifestations and impacts, before offering examples of responses at personal and policy levels.
This is the first of three lectures discussing climate change being presented by Beloit Public Library, in partnership with the Beloit League of Women Voters and Welty Environmental Center. Each event will be live-streamed via Facebook Live and include a 30- to 40-minute talk followed by audience Q&A.
