Stop by Olbrich’s outdoor classroom between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. to make a braid with sweetgrass harvested in Olbrich’s Herb Garden! Indigenous Garden project facilitator Rita Peters (Ho-Chunk) will guide you through the process and explain the significance behind making these fragrant, artful braids to take home. This mini-workshop is free and open to the public, takes about 20 minutes, and is suitable for adults and children over 12 or younger kids with a helping adult. The outdoor classroom is under cover so it will take place rain or shine!
