Sustainable U: Impacts of Neonics Pesticide Use

April 17 @ 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Free

Join the Middleton Public Library and the City of Middleton’s Sustainability Committee for an ongoing series to help Middleton residents learn about living sustainably, why it matters, what our city is doing, and how you can help.

Neonicotinoids are the most widely used insecticides in the world. Wonder where all the insects have gone? A quantity of neonics the weight of a sugar granule is enough to kill 125,000 honeybees. Learn how to keep neonics out of our ground and surface waters, protect our valuable beneficial insect species, and reduce neonic chemicals in vertebrate animals including humans.

Location: Middleton Public Library in the downstairs Archer Room
