Maple Syrup Making Workshop

Join the Friends of Schumacher Farm Park and instructor Mary Binkley to learn how to make maple syrup in your own backyard!
This includes how to identify maples, tools needed, tapping a tree, boiling the sap, and ends with finishing the syrup and getting to sample it. Children love the whole process and are welcome to sign up with an adult, yet be mindful that younger kids’ level of participation may be limited throughout the process for safety. General handouts will be available.
Cost: $10 per person (ages 5+)

Please note: maple sap is weather dependent. This workshop may need to be rescheduled on short notice depending on the conditions of the trees and the weather. If this occurs, we will contact you to discuss next steps.
