Lower Yahara River Trail Cleanup

4:30pm check-in at Lunney Lake Farm County Park shelter #3, 4330 Libby Road, Madison 53711

The Friends of Capital Springs Recreation Area, in partnership with the Lake Waubesa Conservation Association, Dane County Parks, Dane County Land and Water Resources, and the Village of McFarland invite you to join us in a comprehensive clean-up effort to restore the beauty of the Lower Yahara River Trail (LYRT) on the north end of Lake Waubesa. Trash pickup and aquatic plant removal in this area will allow us to fully enjoy all that the new bridge and boardwalk have to offer this summer.

Just a few items for your consideration:

• Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older.
• Space is limited to allow for social distancing.
• Volunteers must be comfortable walking on uneven and wet surfaces such as marsh and rocks.
• The cleanup area is a half mile walk from parking.
