Family Land Steward Work Day: Tree Planting Workshop with ECO Tree

May 14 @ 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM

Please join us for a very special ALNC Land Steward Work Day, co-hosted with ECO Tree Company. This is a free public program for community volunteers of all ages who are ready to roll up their sleeves and dig in the dirt! Learn about tree installation and maintenance with guidance from an ECO Tree Certified Arborist and get some hands-on experience as we work together to plant native evergreens on nature center grounds.
Participants meet at 10am outside the West Entry doors, near the Children’s shack, for an orientation. Work days typically take place rain or shine, although they may be modified or cancelled depending on the project and conditions. Basic tools and supplies will be provided. Please bring water bottles and wear work clothes appropriate for the weather. Limited access to facilities for restrooms and water refills will be available.

These work projects involve physical tasks geared towards older kids and adults. Younger children are welcome to attend/observe at the discretion of their guardian. Anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Pre-registration is much appreciated! Groups of 5 or more should inquire with alnc@aldoleopoldnaturecenter.org to ensure we are able to accommodate your group.

Please contact us at (608) 221-0404 or at alnc@aldoleopoldnaturecenter.org for more information.
