Cave of the Mounds was discovered on August 4, 1939.  Celebrate this special anniversary with us this weekend with a Discovery Tour by flashlight!  Put on some mining gear and pose for a vintage family photo at our new photo station.  Explore the grounds and learn more about the history of Cave of the Mounds on a FREE guided walk-‘n-talk. Check out the Barn Discovery Center and learn even more about Cave of the Mounds and the history leading up to the Cave’s discovery.  Each child will receive a FREE gemstone mining bag to take to the Quarry’s Edge Gemstone Mine and discover treasures!  Regular cave tour rates apply and reservations are not necessary.
