Community Workshop: Medicinal Plants–Learning How to Grow, Find, and Use Them
September 14, 2023 @ 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Join Kim of FarmHer Greens and Ryan of Allen Centennial Garden to learn about easy to grow or forage medicinal plants! We’ll be learning about Yarrow, Jamaican Hibiscus/Sorrel/Jicama, Calendula, Burdock, and others. Make a DIY drying rack and learn some of the best ways to dry medicinal plants, herbs, and flowers for maximum potency, flavor, and color. Then, take a walk through the garden and farm to cut some plants of your own to dry for yourself. You can also make your own tea sachet to create a brew tailored to you. Follow the signs for the workshop. Meet under the yellow and white tent.
