About the event

We will be cutting and piling brush. We’re continuing our work to clear honeysuckle, buckthorn, and burning bush from Madison Parks’ Cherokee Marsh Mendota Unit. We may burn brush piles if there is enough snow to put the fires out. No experience needed. Dress warmly for the weather, and wear old clothes (in case of fire sparks), sturdy footwear, and work gloves. Loppers are provided, but you’re welcome to bring your own. Certified chainsaw operators are welcome —bring your own saw and PPE.

Meet at Meet at Westport Meadows Park, 4338 Beilfuss Drive. This park is west of HWY 113 and adjacent to Cherokee Marsh – Mendota Unit. Park on street.
