Bird & Nature Adventures | Warner Park

March 17 @ 1:30 PM - 3:00 PM

Seasons’ Creep ~ Join Naturalist Alex Singer on a free family friendly guided walk to enjoy the Spring Equinox and the return of longer days!  Is the ice gone earlier or later than usual this year?  What plants are starting to green? What birds and wildlife are active along the creek? The earlier advent of spring and the delay of autumn are effects of climate change that are being noticed by more and more people. Differences in the customary changes of temperature and precipitation can positively and negatively affect plants and animals in ways we’re only realizing as they play out in real time and the impacts are exposed via long-term research.

Walks at Warner Park held on the 3rd Sunday of every month are co-sponsored by Madison Bird City FUN partners Wild Warner  and Madison Audubon . Meet at the colorful Warner Park shelter by the lagoon. Parking is available nearby. No registration is required. No pets are allowed.

See Bird & Nature Adventures for other free nature events.
