Architecture of Trees with JoAnn Riecke ~ Join Master Naturalist JoAnn Riecke for a free family-friendly guided walk or take a walk on your own any day in February to carefully observe the trees along the trails at Aldo Leopold Nature Center and Edna Taylor Conservation Park. We will learn about and compare deciduous and evergreen trees and look at their various shapes and branching patterns. Weather permitting we may be drawing some trees/branching patterns and share what we notice. Learn how these characteristics help the trees adapt to the environment and their specific locations.

Join a naturalist for an easy, family-friendly walk from Aldo Leopold Nature Center into the beautiful Edna Taylor Conservation Park and enjoy a bit of nature education along the way. These are free nature outings and no registration is required. Co-sponsored by Madison FUN Friends of Urban Nature partner groups Madison ParksMadison AudubonAldo Leopold Nature Center, and Friends of Edna Taylor Conservation Park. A photographer may be onsite to document this event. If you would not like your photo taken, please advise the photographer. Thank you!
